| 23rd September, 2008 - 7:00 am | MLB.com - Brandon Webb won his 22nd game of the season on Monday night as the Diamondbacks inched closer to the Dodgers in the NL West race, according to MLB.com.
"It's amazing," Webb said of his win total, the most since Dontrelle Willis also won 22 back in 2005. "I would never have dreamed to have done this. It's a big number, and I've still got one more, and I'm not going to be satisfied until the season is over and we get into the playoffs. So we're going to still keep working."
Arizona is two games behind Los Angeles for first place in the NL West and is not in the Wild Card picture, meaning the division title is their only chance to make the postseason. [READ] |
