Report: Mets, GM Minaya Close To New Deal

AP - The Mets and GM Omar Minaya are close to reaching an agreement on a new deal, according to an Associated Press report.

The deal probably will be for four years running through the 2012 season, but the length could change before the contract is finalized, reported a person familiar with the talks Tuesday night. [READ]
