27th September, 2008 - 10:39 pm
Andrew Perna/RealGM - Johan Santana pitched a complete game shutout for the Mets on Saturday against the Marlins to move his team into a tie with the Brewers for the NL Wild Card.

Milwaukee lost to Chicago thanks to a strong performance from Ted Lilly, who pitched six innings of one-run ball against the Brewers.

The Mets defeated the Marlins 2-0, while the Cubs downed the Brewers 7-3.

Tied for the final NL playoff spot with one day left in the regular season, Milwaukee will battle Chicago on Sunday and New York will face Florida once again.

Oliver Perez is expected to start for the Mets against Scott Olsen of the Marlins, while C.C. Sabathia is slated to take the hill for the Brewers against Chicago's Carlos Zambrano. [READ]
