A’s Closer Dotel Exposes ‘Big Time’ Arm Problem

Press Democrat - After pushing through last season with nagging elbow pain, Oakland closer Octavio Dotel has said that the pain he is experiencing now is much worse.

"Every time you feel something, you have to worry about it," he said. "At this point I am worried about it big time."

Dotel underwent an MRI on Wednesday morning and the Athletics are currently waiting for the results.

"It has been bothering me for the whole spring training and the whole season so far, but I've been trying to see if it goes away," he said. "I keep pitching, keep trying to do my thing, but I don't see it going away. I don't want to keep trying and have nothing get better." [READ]
