Manny Runs Under 4.5 Seconds To First On Infield Hit

Christopher Reina/RealGM - Manny Ramirez, who famously took 5.7 seconds to reach first base during his final days as a member of the Red Sox, had an infield hit to keep a two-out scoring opportunity alive in the top of the 3rd in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Ramirez grounded to the hole between shortstop and third base in which Ryan Theriot made a diving stop and just narrowly beat the throw to the bag.

We clocked Ramirez's speed to first base at just under 4.5 seconds.

Ryan Dempster struck out Andre Ethier with a 3-2 change up with the bases loaded to escape the bases loaded jam. [READ]
