Longoria Homers In First Playoff At Bat, Who Else Has Done So?

Christopher Reina/RealGM - Evan Longoria hit a first pitch fastball to lead off the bottom of the 2nd inning over the fence in left centerfield. He also hit a first pitch belt high breaking ball in his second at bat in the 3rd inning for a homer.

Longoria joined 29 other players who have homered in their first at bat in their postseeason careers.

Keith Moreland (1981), Benito Santiago (1995), Brady Anderson (1996), Harold Baines (1997), Shane Spencer (1998), Edgardo Alfonzo (1999), Todd Walker (2003), Tom Wilson (2004) all homered in their first postseason at bat (Division Series).

Joe Harris (1925), George Watkins (1930), Mel Ott (1933), George Selkirk (1936), Dusty Rhodes (1954), Elston Howard (1955), Roger Marls (1960), Don Mincher (1965), Brooks Robinson (1966) and Jose Santiago (1967) all homered in their first postseason at bat (World Series).

Joe Morgan (1972), Dan Ford (1979), John Lowenstein (1979), Rick Cerone (1980), Gorman Thomas (1982), Bob Dernier (1984), Rick Sutcliffe (1984), Glenn Davis (1986), Gary Gaetti (1987), Mark Grace (1989) and Orlando Merced (1991) all homered in their first postseason at bat (League Championship Series).
