Cubs' Harden Had Cortisone Shot Last Month

Chicago Sun-Times - It has been revealed that Cubs starter Rich Harden received a cortisone shot in between his Aug. 29 and Sept. 11 starts.

It's not rare for pitchers to get anti-inflammatory injections, but it could be consider simply precautionary for a player with Harden's injury history.

Harden, who has spent time on the disabled list in four consecutive seasons, declined to comment on it Thursday. [READ]
