Dodgers And Phillies Dominating OPS Differentials

Christopher Reina/RealGM - Through the first two games of their NLDS matchup, the Dodgers and Cubs have been two entirely different teams at the plate.

The Dodgers have outscored the Cubs 17-5 and have an OPS 208 points higher than their opponent (.858 to .650). This represents an increase in the playoffs from the regular season of 126 points for the Dodgers and a decrease of 147 for the Cubs.

Manny Ramirez alone has scored four runs and has an OPS of 1.850. He has now homered twice in 11 of his 20 career playoff series.

In the other NLDS series, the Phillies have outscored the Brewers by a margin of just 8-3, but the OPS differential is a staggering 393 (751 for the Phillies and 358 for the Brewers). [READ]
