Retirement A Possibilty For Edmonds
5th October, 2008 - 12:11 pm
Chicago Sun-Times - Retirement appears to be a possibilty for Cubs outfielder Jim Edmonds as both the off-season and his 39th birthday approach.

"But what I also think about right now is that this could be my last game," Edmonds said after Chicago's loss to Los Angeles on Saturday night. "That's the way I approach it. I'm trying to live every moment right now and trying to do everything I can to help this team. But I'm definitely soaking it in right now."

Edmonds is a .284 career hitter with 382 home runs and a World Series ring.

"I just don't know yet," he said. "I'm going to go home this winter and think about it, I really am. I'm still in pretty good shape. Everything still feels pretty good. I can play." [READ]
