Cubs' Dempster Doesn't Regret Title Boast

Chicago Sun-Times - Cubs' pitcher Ryan Dempster doesn't regret comments made seven months ago proclaiming that the team would win the World Series this fall.

"No," Dempster said Saturday night. "Not at all. You've got to believe if you want to get after it."

The Cubs were swept by the Dodgers in three games in the NLDS.

"It'll be tough to swallow for a while, but it's motivation, right?" Dempster said. "For me, anyway. I can't speak for everybody. But I know that's something that motivates me a lot."

"I've been here a lot of years now, and I haven't had a chance to do something like that. I see guys that wear them, and I really, really want one. We've just got to find a way to get it done." [READ]
