Francona Unsure Of Boston's Rotation
7th October, 2008 - 4:53 pm
MLB.com - Red Sox manager Terry Francona hasn't decided who will pitch in Game One of the ALCS against the Rays on Friday.

Josh Beckett and Jon Lester are both available to pitch Game One on four days' rest, but coming off a right oblique injury, Beckett might not be the team's best option.

"I thought he was good," Francona said of Beckett in Game Three. "I thought he was a little frustrated. He wants to be Beckett in a situation where maybe it's a little hard to be. Maybe it's not fair. It had been two weeks [between outings]. I thought the Angels deserved a lot of the credit."

Daisuke Matsuzaka could also start the series on what would be six days' rest. [READ]
