The Star - John Gibbons, former manager of the Toronto Blue Jays, was hired Monday to serve as Trey Hillman's bench coach in Kansas City, ending his brief unemployment.
"We managed against each other in Single A, Double A, and Triple A," Gibbons said from his home in San Antonio, Tex. "We moved up the ranks together and ended up good friends."
