Yankees Want Larry Bowa Back
16th October, 2008 - 12:18 pm
New York Post - Larry Bowa is the leading candidate to replace Yankees New York Yankees third base coach Bobby Meacham.

The Yankees are willing to wait until after the Dodgers' season ends to see if Bowa, who was the Yankees' third base coach in 2006 and 2007 and is considered the best in baseball, wants to return.

Bowa signed a two-year deal with the Dodgers before this season to join Joe Torre in Los Angeles but has an out in the contract. Until the Dodgers' season is finished the Yankees can't contact Bowa or ask the Dodgers permission to speak with him.

RealGM Note: Bowa has been credited in the development of Robinson Cano and his departure is believed to at least in part contributed to his slide in 2008. [READ]
