Braves To Discuss Trade For Peavy?

Atlanta Journal-Constitution - The Braves are looking to fortify their rotation this winter and may have already contacted the Padres about a trade involving Jake Peavy.

A person familiar with the talks said the teams have discussed a potential trade that would bring Peavy to Atlanta for a package that would include at least three Braves prospects.

Peavy is under contract for four more years with salaries of $11 million in 2009, $15 million in 2010, $16 million in 2011 and $17 million in 2012, plus a $22 million option for 2013 with a $4 million buyout. [READ]
