Howard: Time Off Will Be Good For Us

Philadelphia Inquirer - Phillies' first baseman Ryan Howard believes that the six days the team has off between their NLCS win and Game 1 of the World Series will be a good thing.

"I think this time is going to be good for us," said Howard. "We'll come out ready to play."

The Rockies had eight days between the league championship series and the World Series in 2007, and were swept by the Red Sox. The Tigers had six free days in 2006 and lost to the Cardinals in just five games. [READ]
