New York Post - Yankees' right fielder Bobby Abreu, who is a free agent this off-season, would prefer to remain in New York.

"Of course (I'd like to return)," Abreu said Saturday night. "I'm just going to see what's going to happen. Right now I'm just waiting. I want to come back, I've had a good time in the city, I really love New York. But that's what it is, I just have to wait and see what's going to be offered."

Abreu, 34, hit .296 with 20 home runs and 100 RBI in 2008.

He claims he has no idea what New York's plans are regarding him.

"I'm just going to right now wait and see what's going to happen," Abreu said. "Of course I want to stay here in New York." [READ]
