Cubs, GM Hendry Agree On 4-Year Extension

ESPN - The Cubs have rewarded GM Jim Hendry with a four-year contract extension through the 2012 season.

The move came in the wake of the team's best regular season record in more than sixty years.

Chicago is 537-513 since Hendry was promoted to general manager on in July of 2002, and have had winning records in four of his six full seasons while making three playoff appearances. [READ]
