Peavy Wants No-Trade Clause In Deal

San Diego Union-Tribune - Padres' pitcher Jake Peavy doesn't know where he'll end up this winter, but he definitely wants a no-trade clause regardless.

"Anywhere he goes," said agent Barry Axelrod, "we're going to have to have a full no-trade. That's a position we would take."

Peavy has full no-trade rights through 2010 stemming from the three-year extension the Padres gave him last December.

But in 2011, he can be traded without his consent to fourteen teams, and in 2012-13, he can block a trade to only eight clubs. [READ]
