Phillies' Coste May Get Game 1 Start As DH

Courier Post - Philadelphia backup catcher Chris Coste may start in Game 1 of the World Series against Tampa Bay as the team's designated hitter.

Manager Charlie Manuel hasn't settled on his DH but hinted that he likely will use a right-handed hitter against Rays' lefty Scott Kazmir.

"Most of the year, I haven't really used [Greg] Dobbs or Matt [Stairs] against the left-hand pitchers," Manuel said. "I'll be more inclined definitely to probably throw a right-hand hitter in there." [READ]
