Rookie Hasley Outpitches Clemens In Arizona's 6-1 Win

Yahoo! - Arizona's star rookie Brad Hasley outpitched Roger Clemens in a successful homecoming, and Luis Gonzalez hit a three-run homer to lead the Diamondbacks to a 6-1 victory over the Astros on Thursday night.

``To have Halsey come out here in his hometown against one of the best pitchers of all-time has to be special for him,'' said Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin, who was a catcher for Clemens in Boston 12 years ago. ``He is especially tough when you haven't seen him before.''

``It's a great feeling to pitch here and get the win," Hasley who gave up just one run in seven innings. ``I was an Astros fan growing up. They were my team. Obviously I'm a D-backs fan first now.'' [READ]
