O'Dowd: Rockies Will Shake Up Team

Rocky Mountain News - Rockies' GM Dan O’Dowd is ready to shake things up and claims that the team will be "aggressive" in making moves this winter.

"We will be much more aggressive," O’Dowd said. "The mind-set (last year) was, we had a young nucleus, and we wanted to see how it responded (to the first NL pennant in franchise history)."

This offseason could involve deals to trade three lineup regulars, left fielder Matt Holliday, third baseman Garrett Atkins, and center fielder Willy Taveras — in addition to the possible loss of closer Brian Fuentes to free agency.

"I am not going to speculate in regards to who we are going to look to move," O’Dowd said, "but, obviously, we have some personnel issues that have been well-documented." [READ]
