Father Wanted Holliday Dealt To Yankees

New York Times - Tom Holliday would have loved to have seen his son traded from the Rockies to the Yankees this week.

"If someone would have called me today and said Matt had gotten traded to the Yankees, I'd have been hunting for a place to celebrate," he said.

The Yankees discussed a deal with the Rockies, but the A's apparently made the best offer for Holliday, who can be a free agent next offseason. [READ]
