Torres Retires After 12 Seasons

Green Bay Press Gazette - Salomon Torres retired on Tuesday after 12 major-league seasons.

The 36-year-old reliever, who was Milwaukee’s fill-in closer last season, issued a statement through the team saying he wanted to spend more time with his family and faith.

“Milwaukee is a wonderful city with great fans and people. I will always cherish the opportunity I had to play here,” Torres said. “While I still have great passion and energy for the game of baseball, I feel that the time has come to redirect that passion and energy to my family and God.” [READ]
