Dodgers' Offer To Manny Could Reach $60M, Stands Until Thursday

Los Angeles Times - According to unnamed sources, the Dodgers' initial offer to Manny Ramirez includes a club option for a third season that could increase the contract's value to $60 million.

The offer stands until Thursday, the final day of the team's exclusive negotiating window with Ramirez, but indications are that their pursuit of the outfielder will extend beyond then.

The option for 2011 is worth $22.5 million and can be bought out for $7.5 million. Ramirez would earn $15 million next season and $22.5 million in 2010. [READ]
