Cubs Interested In Randy Johnson

Chicago Tribune - The Cubs are reportedly interested in signing free agent pitcher Randy Johnson to a one-year deal.

General Manager Jim Hendry still wants to re-sign Ryan Dempster but is moving ahead with contingency plans in case Dempster leaves.

Johnson's agent Alan Nero said on Friday that Johnson "would seem to be a perfect fit" for the Cubs. [READ]
