Tigers Not Actively Shopping Ordonez

MLB.com - The Tigers claim that they are not actively shopping outfielder Magglio Ordonez despite reports to the contrary.

"We're not looking to trade Magglio [Ordonez]," Detroit president/GM Dave Dombrowski said.

Talks have heated up across Major League Baseball with the hunt for free agents picking up, which has also fueled speculation across the sport.

"I would listen about any player another club would call about," Dombrowski said. "I always have."

However, Dombrowski said, he hasn't made a single call about Ordonez.

"We're not looking to trade Magglio," Dombrowski added. "He's one of the best hitters in baseball and an important part of our club." [READ]
