Sox, Reds Discussing Dye

Chicago Sun-Times - The White Sox and Reds are reportedly discussing a trade involving outfielder Jermaine Dye.

However, a major-league source said Sunday that any deal involving Dye and Cincinnati is complicated by financial matters.

Dye will earn $11.5 million in 2009, with a mutual option for $12 million in 2010 that includes a $1 million buyout.

Reds general manager Walt Jocketty confirmed that he had talked to the Sox about "some players, but nothing is close." [READ]
