Boston made Teixeira an offer recently that is believed to be the richest deal offered under the team's current ownership group.
Teixeira is rumored to be seeking an average annual salary of more than the $21 million that CC Sabathia got from the Yankees, and a lot closer to the $27.5 million that Alex Rodriguez is guaranteed to make through 2017. [READ] |
