Yankees Now 'Going Hard' After Manny?

MLB.com - The Yankees are rumored to be split on the idea of offering free-agent Manny Ramirez a lucrative deal, but reports now indicate that the team could be "going hard" after the slugger.

New York reportedly wants to ink him to a two-year deal, hoping to avoid three years, but a lot of things could change once Mark Teixeira makes his decision, which could very well be the rival Red Sox.

"Personally, I like Manny," said co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner. "He's one of the greatest hitters in the history of the game. He's a free spirit, for sure, but he knows how to win. We like some of the other guys, too. We just don't know yet." [READ]
