| 22nd December, 2008 - 10:10 am | MLB.com - A report out of the Dominican Republic late Sunday claims that the Yankees could be poised to complete a deal with Manny Ramirez sometime this week.
The newspaper, Impacto Deportivo, stated that Ramirez is close to signing a three-year, $75 million contract with the team.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman shot down the report early Monday.
