Lowe Underwhelmed By Mets' Offer?

New York Post - Derek Lowe is underwhelmed by the three-year, $36 million offer the Mets extended, according to a baseball source.

Lowe would prefer $15 million a season, significantly more than the $12 million per the Mets offered.

"We don't know with Boras," a Met official said Wednesday when asked about possible competition for Lowe.

"It's hard to figure with [Boras]. He's always got these anonymous teams." [READ]
