A-Rod And Tex Didn't Get Along When They Were Teammates?

New York Post - Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira played one season together in Texas in 2003, but ESPN baseball analyst Peter Gammons appeared on Boston radio station WEEI Wednesday and referenced a rift between the two Yankees.

"As you probably remember, there was a lot of testiness between Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira when they played in Texas together," Gammons told the radio station, according to Boston.com. "... And I don't think Alex really cares about communicating with other players, we know [that] from Derek Jeter Derek Jeter .

"Also, we haven't really seen Teixeira in a situation where the expectations are really that high, and he's going to have to deal with them in New York. It will be very interesting to see how it goes with the Yankees."

Gammons also insinuated that Teixeira's wife's influence in the decision was based on shopping choices. [READ]
