Rangers' Young Reluctantly Moves To Third
16th January, 2009 - 9:40 am
Star-Telegram - Rangers infielder Michael Young has reluctantly agreed to move from shortstop to third base so that the team can begin grooming Elvis Andrus.

"I am moving, but to sit there and say that I'm going to throw a party while I'm doing it is wrong," Young said.

Young publicly asked for a trade after the organization asked him to move to third, and said that the decision was final.

"When I had this conversation with the team a month ago, I didn't think it was my time then. I don't think it's my time now. I'm not going to sit here and change my mind overnight. I feel like I'm playing well at that position. But, having said that, it’s not my call," Young added. [READ]
