Abreu Waiting For The Right Offer

New York Times - Free-agent outfielder Bobby Abreu is still waiting for the right offer as spring training stands just two weeks away.

"He's still an All-Star-caliber player," said Ed Wade, the last man to sign Abreu to a contract, with the Phillies seven years ago. Former All-Stars Garret Anderson, Joe Crede, Adam Dunn and Ben Sheets are also on the market.

"We've been on the market for a while, and we've had a lot of teams interested," said Abreu's agent, Peter Greenberg. "We just haven't gotten the right offer yet. It's been a very slow market over all." [READ]
