Strasburg Strikes Out 16, Clocked At 102 MPH

Union-Tribune - Stephen Strasburg was clocked at a new high Friday night against Nevada, throwing 102 mph seven separate times.

His velocity, coupled with the location of his pitches, helped Strasburg to 16 strikeouts in the Aztecs' 5-2 victory at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

“He was throwing good, in rhythm," said SDSU manager Tony Gwynn. "The ball was down. He's pitching. You can't ask for any more than that.” [READ]
