Blue Jays Discussing Sign-And-Trade?

Globe And Mail - The sign-and-trade could finally make it's way to baseball, specifically with the Blue Jays looking to make a move without giving up a draft pick.

"Just like the NBA," one general manager said recently. "It's something we ought to look at putting in the collective agreement."

Major league sources claim that Toronto has been discussing such a deal with the White Sox that would land them shortstop Orlando Cabrera.

Doing so, however, would be difficult under the current terms of the collective bargaining agreement. [READ]
