Cabrera Signs With Oakland

Yahoo! - The A's have agreed to a one-year, $4M contract with free agent shortstop Orlando Cabrera on Monday, as reported by Yahoo.com.

Cabrera batted .281 with eight home runs, 57 RBI and 19 stolen bases last season with the White Sox.

A 13-year veteran, Cabrera likely would replace the injury-prone Bobby Crosby as the starting shortstop. [READ]
