Mets Intrigued By Sheffield

New York Daily News - The Mets are reportedly intrigued by the availability of free agent slugger Gary Sheffield, who cleared waivers on Thursday after being released by the Tigers earlier this week.

Agent Rufus Williams wouldn't say if the Mets contacted him about Sheffield, but a team source said that the free agent has "got to be discussed." [READ]
