Sheffield: Playing For Mets Is Dream Come True

Gary Sheffield says that playing for the Mets, the team he signed with on Friday, is a dream come true.

Sheffield's uncle, Dwight Gooden, pitched for the Mets in his career.

"This has been a lifetime thing for me," Sheffield said. "With my uncle here with the Mets, it's been a dream of mine for a long time. I never thought it would happen, but I had the chance to come here and fulfill my dream."
