Derrek Lee: My Age Isn't A Concern

Chicago Tribune - Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee isn't buying into the belief that he's starting to slow down because of his age.

Lee had just eight home runs and 23 RBIs in August and September of last season.

"I've heard it," Lee said about the criticism. "I'm 33. Whoa — that's scary if I'm old. But I had some injuries in the second half last year, so people say [it's old] age. You know, things happen in this game, and I don't think it had anything to do with age." [READ]
