Minaya: Mets Could Add Payroll

New York Post - Mets general manager Omar Minaya admitted on Tuesday that the team could take on additional payroll if certain needs can be addressed.

"We've been told that whatever we need to do to get to help us win, we're going to try to do it," Minaya said, referring to the team's ownership.

"[The payroll is] not unlimited. But there is the ability to increase if we need areas that need to be addressed." [READ]
