Gaston: Rios Is 'A Mess'

Toronto Star - Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston said on Saturday that outfielder Alex Rios' hitting mechanics "are a mess."

Rios is hitting .248 with two home runs and 14 RBIs this season, and is marred in a 2-for-18 slump.

"He's staying back on his back half, he's not getting around in time and it's pitch selection, too ... all the things we're talking to him about," Gaston said. [READ]
