Young Mets Reliever Hits 100 MPH

New York Post - Rising Mets reliever Bobby Parnell didn't even know that he hit 100 mph on the radar gun at Fenway Park on Friday night.

"I still don't even know what pitch it was," Parnell said.

Parnell had never been clocked at 100 mph at any level of baseball in his life. He was a ninth-round pick of New York back in 2005.

"We've put him in some situations, he's had some success, his confidence is great and he's become the pitcher we all think he can be," Jerry Manuel said. [READ]
