Bay Doesn't Want To Touch Home Run Derby Contest

Jason Bay was involved in the 2005 home run derby contest and it isn't something he wants to revisit.

"I’d never been in a home run hitting contest at any point in my life," Bay said before going 4-for-6 with his 19th homer of the season in last night's 11-3 rout of the Nationals.

"They asked, I thought it would be cool. I didn't homer, but that didn't bother me. It was just that it took away from my enjoyment of being an All-Star for the first time."
