Sources: Phils Won't Meet Demands For Halladay

ESPN - The Phillies think the Blue Jays are asking for too much for pitcher Roy Halladay.

Toronto is asking for pitcher J.A. Happ, top pitching prospect Kyle Drabek and promising outfield prospect Dominic Brown, but Philadelphia isn't willing to give up that much.

The Jays formally proposed that package to the Phillies on Thursday, ESPN's Peter Gammons has confirmed.

"The ball is in their court," said Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi said of the defending champions.

Two sources with baseball knowledge believe that the Phillies won't meet the demands of the Jays. [READ]
