Mets Likely To Re-Sign Carlos Delgado

Carlos Delgado might not be done with the Mets after all.

Delgado, who is still recovering from hip surgery, wasn't expected to be brought back in 2010.

However, the team's lack of faith in Daniel Murphy could lead to them re-sign the first baseman for next season.

The Mets first believed that Murphy could play left field, but that experiment didn't work out. Now he has failed as a first baseman both offensively and defensively.
