Red Sox Tried To Get Felix From M's

Boston Globe - The Red Sox tried to acquire young pitcher Felix Hernandez from the Mariners in a three-team deal last week.

According to the Boston Globe, the Sox gave the Mariners a list of eight prospects from which they could have selected five players.

The list reportedly included Clay Buchholz, Daniel Bard, Justin Masterson, Nick Hagadone, Michael Bowden, and Felix Doubront, outfielder Josh Reddick, and shortstop Yamaico Navarro.

In the deal, the Mariners would have acquired first baseman Adrian Gonzalez from the Padres. [READ]
