Could Beane Be An Option For Mets?

New York Post - Kevin Kernan of the New York Post wrote on Sunday that the Mets should fire Omar Minaya and lure Billy Beane into town.

"The Mets need to think big now, and that means going after one of the most respected general managers in baseball, and the guy just happens to be an ex-Met, Billy Beane," Kernan wrote.

There haven't been any indications that Beane will leave Oakland, but Kernan points out that it wouldn't hurt for the Mets to inquire. [READ]
