Hamels To Add Breaking Ball For 2010

Philadelphia Inquirer - Cole Hamels has struggled this season and the Phillies are going to help him add a breaking ball to his arsenal.

His curveball has been inconsistent this season, which has made his fastball-changeup combination too predictable.

"Putting another pitch in the back of the hitter's mind can only help me," Hamels told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

He doesn't intend on removing his curveball, but rather working on another breaking pitch in spring training. [READ]
