Red Sox Preparing Offer To Matsui

ESPN - The Red Sox are preparing a multi-year offer for Hideki Matsui, according to reports.

Matsui hit .274 with 28 homers and 90 RBIs in 142 games with the Yankees this season and was named the MVP of the World Series.

He has been a full-time designated hitter since June 2008.
